It's been a long time since I did any serious drawing.  Had in mind to draw from all the races of the world. Still intend to pursue it as a goal.  Just for the experience....For some reason when we moved here I put down my pencil and picked up a rake, a hoe, assorted yard tools, and a steel hammer to dig out Missouri rocks.  The steep slope of our yard became my canvas and for 10 years has been very satisfying.  Thyme, vinca, honeysuckle, ajuga, creeping jenny and many more ground covers have taken over.  No more holding the weed eater at a 45 degree angle.  The wandering paths are cut and the perennials are planted. Now I'm ready  to go back to the pencil. If I can just get the cats to quit eating my pencils, stealing my erasers, and get off my paper I'll be OK.
